About Caughman's Meats
Caughman's Meats is a leading Meat Shop located in Lexington. We work with a small group of trusted vendors and distributors to bring the finest food products to our growing community of shoppers.
Since we first started operating in 1955, we’ve seen a great deal of change in the local food scene and we’re proud to be playing our part in helping to alter tastes and perceptions about what food should be. Come and visit us in person to experience Caughman's Meats for yourself.
OUR HISTORY
How It All Began
Back in 1955, Billy and Marguerite Caughman had a vision for the Lexington community. Their goal was to not only provide a high-quality selection of meats for their home town, but to be able to serve others and give back to the area they loved so much. Billy passed away in 1991 and his beloved wife died in 1999.
Since their deaths, the family tradition of serving the community continues today. Some 65 years after Caughman's first opened their doors, they continue to keep their family vision alive, as Billy and Marguerite's son Ronnie and daughter Alacia run the daily operations.
Loaded with family history, Caughman's name stand alone and their Lexington Brand meats are a cut above the rest.
